LIFESTYLE Newsletter Vol. 1 No. 12

Nick's LIFESTYLE Newsletter

The important milestones in 10 year old Nick life. I may have peaked at hearing my first Def Leppard song.

THIS IS AN INTRODUCTION

Hello again everyone. It's been a few weeks. An amazing few weeks. Melonie went to Essen, Germany and crushed it AND we got new spatulas.

  • We finished our 100% run of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. All 900 kurok seeds. All 134 shrines. All 226 locations.
  • I have an Apple Watch. It is making me workout more since I don't want to disappoint it by not filling in my rings. I can't have another thing in life I disappoint. Related to this, we went and did some location scouting for the new PETE CALENDAR.
  • Friend of the LIFESTYLE, Seppy, has a Kickstarter going for his new game. It ends soon, SO CHECK IT OUT NOW. I WILL WAIT. http://kck.st/2En9McP

THIS IS THE END OF THE INTRODUCTION.

2 QUICK THINGS THIS WEEK:

ITEM THE FIRST:

Friendship rubrics. Friendship has been on my mind lately, I feel like my systems for dividing people in to levels (friend vs acquaintance) have really let me down this year. What you may not know is that all of you are assigned a score on an 100 point scale that determines where you fit into my world and that score is stack ranked against everyone else to determine your ranking. This has served me well for about 25 years, but with the events of the year, I feel a new approach is needed.

After consulting with various rubrics and ways of judging personalities, compatibilities and other literature, I've decided to transition to a spider chart. It was surprisingly hard to find information on how to judge friends. HOW DO YOU JUDGE FRIENDS? Anyways, this will allow a more dynamic judging of people and will eliminate the stack rank system. I will be able to evaluate what aspects of our friendship we are compatible in and see areas for improvement.

The best part of this is that it will be invisible to you. I hope you all score high. I'M ROOTING FOR YOU.

ITEM THE SECOND:

Very interesting TED video came through the Internets to me in the past few weeks, "What if we replaced politicians with randomly selected people." At this point, I'm willing to try anything. I'm so glad this election cycle is done. WAIT. THE NEXT ONE HAS ALREADY STARTED.

SHAME STATISTICS:

Wani Kani: Level 9

Apprentice: 61 (+7)

Guru: 218 (+54)

Master: 177 (-36)

Enlightened: 603 (+57)

Burned: 214 (+80)

BunPro: N5: 6/10

GRATITUDES:

To my FRIEND Doc. While most of us just complain about politics or type in our credit card numbers on a website, some people do something. She worked with a campaign and was out on the mean streets of Edina, knocking on doors and trying to get people involved. DOC IS TRYING TO SAVE DEMOCRACY. Or at least encourage participation. Thank you for your service.

Also, you are a constant source of inspiration as I try not to suck at Japanese too much.

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR (please mark "ok to print"):

None

FAVORITE THING TO GO IN MY EARHOLES THIS WEEK:

Free Love's new album, Luxury Hits. I recommend "Pushing Too Hard." Super chill synth/shoegaze music to dance the fall away.

SORRY THIS IS SHORT.

I REALLY WANTED TO GET A PLUG FOR SEPPY IN.

I'M A WHORE. BUT AREN'T WE ALL?

THAT IS ALL.
