Liberation - public beta 9th May
Liberation, the next generation of professional laser show software, is coming very soon!
On May 9th (just two weeks!), the public beta testing programme will be announced. I know I've been a little quiet lately, but it's for good reason - I've been working hard to fix up the last few bits and pieces. The hard work has paid off; Liberation is in good shape and feedback was universally positive when I demonstrated it at the recent UK laserists meet up.
If you wanna see how Liberation is coming along, there'll be a "first look" video on my YouTube channel this week - subscribe here.
And in the meantime, a few more details:
Liberation supports as many lasers as your CPU and network can handle (I've tested it with 50 without issues, although you do need a solid network!)
It's designed to be intuitive and expressive, so you feel directly connected to the lasers while busking a show.
Realtime 3D visualiser built in so you can prepare your shows before you get on-site.
Supports several hardware controllers, currently Ether Dream, Helios, LaserCube(USB) and more coming soon.
Designed around the commonly-used APC40 midi controller, and the underlying architecture is flexible enough so that more controllers can be added in future.
Very simple and fast zoning system, with software masking.
I'll send another email nearer the time with information about how to join the testing programme. Looking forward to sharing Liberation with you all!
