Liberation just got more affordable — and powerful
Warm greetings to my fellow laserists,
It’s been an exciting start to the year for Liberation — both on stage and behind the scenes. From a successful installation of Polaris in Sussex (using a full rig of 7.5W LaserCube Ultras on a wired network) to prepping big sky lasers for the Brighton Festival’s opening weekend at Spiegel Gardens, things are heating up.

New pricing tiers
Liberation’s pricing just got a refresh — more affordable for beginners, with a smoother upgrade path as you grow.
Tier | Price / month* | Lasers |
---|---|---|
Hobby | £10/€15/$15 | 2 |
Pro 4 | £20/€25/$25 | 4 |
Pro 8 | £40/€45/$50 | 8 |
Unlimited | £80/€90/$100 | ∞ |
* Prices exclude local sales tax
Current subscribers on the Hobbyist tier have been automatically upgraded to Pro 4 at no extra cost. And the brand-new Hobby tier now offers an even cheaper way to get started.
It’s a bold shift — I’m taking a bit of a financial risk — but I believe making Liberation more accessible will help the community grow.
Liberation’s unique subscription model
Don’t forget that even after you cancel your subscription you can still use Liberation in demo mode which is fully functional except for outputting to lasers. You can still load and save, and design your shows offline. And then when you’re ready for showtime you can reactivate your subscription.
Liberation just keeps getting better
Liberation is built for the modern laserist — an intuitive and fun creative tool that works seamlessly with open hardware like Ether Dream, Helios, and others. It includes a built-in 3D visualiser, a canvas-based mapping system for architectural shows, and a simple yet powerful zoning and masking system. Map buildings across multiple lasers with full perspective correction, or build perfectly synced, timecode shows with automatic timeline activation.
Here’s what’s new:
Improved timeline workflow — cleaner UI, smarter snapping, new waveform views, and better support for audio-driven shows.
Upgraded clip deck and effects — with easier selection, copy and editing tools to keep your content organised.
3D visualiser updates — resize, reset, and optimised rendering.
New shortcuts and reset tools — get to what you need, fast.
It’s all part of an ongoing mission: to make Liberation the most creative and responsive laser platform in the world — whether you're a touring professional or a stay at home hobbyist.
