New in Lex: support for teams + a guide for using Lex
Hey! Nathan here, founder of Lex (https://lex.page), the modern writing platform with AI editing tools built in.
This is a lighter week for feature announcements (though we have some huge things in the works that I can't wait to share soon). For now, a few quick updates:
1. Limited opportunity for teams using Lex
Marketing departments, content agencies, and academic organizations are already using Lex to maintain consistent voice, quality, and institutional knowledge at scale. We want to help jump-start more collaboration on our platform.
For a limited time, we're offering hands-on onboarding sessions for select teams. This offer is completely free, but limited to just 5 teams.
Over three 45-minute sessions, we'll work directly with you to:
Build and test prompts to maintain a style guide and consistent voice
Speed up the process for writing work you do regularly
Ensure institutional knowledge is shared across the org with smart, context-aware AI
Answer any Lex questions and help build custom workflows for your needs
Interested? Hit reply to claim one of the five spots before they're filled.
2. Short guide to writing with AI
We just published a small piece about writing with AI, including a few concrete examples of how to use Ask Lex comments. If you're curious about how we think about AI's role in the creative process (and why we're building Lex the way we are), check it out here.
3. A few heavily requested quality of life updates
We’ve added a shortcut for Comments - You can now quickly add comments with Control+Option+M (Command+Option+M on Mac) - the same keyboard shortcut as Google Docs. Small update, big time-saver when you're writing in flow!
Create a Version with Rewind - Want to restore an earlier version of your draft? You can now use our new Rewind feature to scroll back in time and generate a new (old) version of your document!
Improved Shortcut Search Bar - Control+K (Command+K on Mac) has always been the best way to access shortcuts within a Lex document. We’ve improved the search bar to make using shortcuts even easier. Open a new Lex document to try it now!
Long Ask Lex Messages (Bug Fix) - A few users noticed that there was some clunkiness in pasting big chunks of text into Ask Lex messages. We’ve fixed it!
What should we build next? Hit reply to let us know.
That's it for this week! As always, we love hearing from you – don't hesitate to reach out with questions, feedback, or ideas.
—Nathan
