New in Lex: Context Tags—an easy way to bring your own knowledge
Hey friends! Nathan here.
First: wow. What an amazing response to the email we sent last week. Thanks so much for your kind words about our product updates, and the slightly goofy video of me explaining while meandering through the backyard.
Second: I have good news! If you liked last week’s update, I think you’re gonna love the new feature we just shipped. It’s called Context Tags, and it’s an easy and powerful way to bring your own knowledge to AI chats.
Here’s a short video of me introducing it:
Context Tags are kinda like Google NotebookLM or Claude Projects, in the sense that it allows you to create buckets of information that you can add to your chats, with a few big advantages:
You can mix and match context tags. For example, if you’re a freelancer you could have tags for different types of projects, and tags for each client. And it’s easy to combine them however you need in the moment.
It’s easier to keep your info up to date. You can add a Lex doc or folder, and we’ll use the latest version every time. You can add a URL, we will re-scan it periodically. Etc.
You can use them with any LLM. It doesn’t make sense to tie yourself to just one model provider.
You can easily share context tags with your team. Great for company-wide coordination.
