How do you like Lex? (the AI-powered word processor)
Hey !
Two quick things:
- In case you didn't know, you're off the waitlist for Lex! Some folks have told us our emails didn't go through, so in case you missed it just wanted to let you know: you're in! All you have to do is click here and, if you're not already logged in, just login with this email: .
- If you've used Lex, we'd love to hear what you think. Just click here and fill out this very short survey.
Also, we shipped some new features!
- Ask Lex. when you're writing, and you need to look up something or wish you could talk to an expert, all you have to do is click "Ask Lex" and a chat interface slides out from beneath the document, where you can ask the AI questions. The answers are amazingly good—I think you'll find it just as useful at +++.
- Archive documents. The number one feature request so far was the ability to archive documents. You can do that now! (Up next: folders.)
- Far fewer GPT-3 errors. Many of you ran into the issue where you'd type +++ and instead of a paragraph of text, you'd get an error message. I shipped a thing today that causes that to happen ~10x less often!
- Code blocks. Just type ``` on a new line, and you'll get a nice space to write some code. Syntax highlighting coming soon!
- Invites. If you used up some of your invites, you were granted additional ones yesterday :)
Lastly, if you're asking yourself "What is Lex and why am I getting this?", here's a little something to jog your memory.
You probably originally signed up because either a friend invited you, or because you saw this tweet:
