Draggin + Droppin + 3 things
Hi! Welcome to this week’s newsletter. A few updates, then three things I’m finding valuable lately.
Defer gets Drag n’ Drop Sorting
All y’all that wanted to drag and drop your tasks into a different order? Guess what, now you can. If you really want to make sure you crank through those tasks in a certain order, go for it. Grab the latest iOS or Mac update to get the goods.
Find me on the socials if you wanna hang
To be honest, I’m still finding my way in the world of being an indie maker. How do I grow the business and keep it sustainable? How do I best promote my apps? Do I need to be an “influencer”? (ugh, I hope not - I just want to build cool stuff the world might find valuable).
I’m tiptoeing back into social media 1) to be a bit more involved in communities and 2) to help people find my current and future products.
SO, if you wanna hang out, you can find me on...
But I’d love to hear from you: Where do you like to hang out online? Where do you find community?
3 Things
The Boonly is a cozy sincere newsletter for your Sundays. I so appreciate Irena’s earnestness in crafting a newsletter full of self-growth ideas to get your week off to the right start. Tell her I sent ya!
YNAB (short for You Need a Budget) is my budgeting app of choice. It can be a bit clunky, and it’s not as flashy as the new players in the space, but believe me when I say it has significantly de-stressed our marriage by providing a baseline of clear monthly budgetary planning communication. I’ve stuck with it for over 15 years now, using its twist on the “envelope method” from a teensy tiny shoestring budget til now.
Darn Tough Socks - if you don’t want to think about your socks, just get these and wear them for life. They withstand multiple days wear without stinking (because of the merino wool, I assume) and stay in good shape for a very long time (I think they have a lifetime guarantee). I usually get the micro crew light cushion hiking variety. You can usually find them in REIs or similar stores too.
