First, Illuminated Words (i.e. links)
This letter is the first from our new letter provider—Buttondown—to go with some handsome updates, revisions, and simplification of the Level Eater website. It remains a work in progress but you can see it in action even now.
This is a great time to tell friends to subscribe to our Level Eater newsletter, as we'll be sharing lore, sneak peeks, and event information in the weeks ahead. You can also find some news and shout-outs to our cohorts through our Instagram account.
For example, Chicago is now home to a wondrous Goblin Market, where you can even buy one of our zines (while supplies last)!
With our old foe, the Devourer, defeated at the end of Level Eater 13, we're looking toward a new era in the city of Portsbridge. We're also making our premiere Chicago event more accessible to new players while honoring and building on the lore of past events. The new pages on our site tell newcomers what Level Eater is, while upcoming pages reflect and remember the storied saga that has defined our campaigns so far.
Level Eater 14 will be a great place for new players to jump into our campaign with more experienced adventurers.
Second, Winter Adventures
The next grand chapter of Level Eater in Chicago draws near. We have a lot in the works for it right now, from new quests and secret spells to intriguing gameplay modifiers. With so much in the works, we don't want to get ahead of ourselves. What we do want to do is tell you the date(s), so you can plan ahead.
Prior to the main event, we'll be hosting a few D&D adventures at the Marz Taproom in Chicago. These are stand-alone prologues to the main event: five unique adventures that set the stage for strange magic at the main event. Stay tuned for us to tell you when tickets go on sale for those prologues, but we'll be playing them on select Wednesdays in November, December, and January.
Oh, right! Dates!
Level Eater 14 happens on Saturday, February 3rd, 2024.

Finally, a Question for You
We get notes, sometimes, telling us we have maybe made enough hoodies for now. And we're not saying we'll never make a hoodie again, but ... what if we made something else for this next event? Before we lock in what that might be, we want to know: Is it okay if we make something other than a hoodie for Level Eater 14? (Maybe something that doesn't require us to track everyone's garment sizes?)
