🚀The Dark Age: Writing the islands
Hello, friends!
About a week ago, I finished a draft of the novel I’ve been ghostwriting; in last week’s letter, I talked about letting that draft breathe before returning to it and revising it.
For a few days, I worked on a short story. It was a nice exercise, a way to cleanse the palate after working on the ghost book awhile, but it’s a frivolous little story, and I don’t feel any urgency to finish it.
All I can think about is returning to The Dark Age. During my time focusing on the other project, I found myself thinking constantly about my own novel. Would I forget all of the things I wanted to revise, to rewrite, to restructure or just do better? Would the time spent writing the ghost book destroy my momentum?
