🚀The Dark Age: The writer with two brains
Hi, friends!
It's been such a pleasant weekend over here. The sun's out, but it's still nice and cool outdoors. Felicia and Squish strapped on their roller skates for the first time in a few months. And while Squish enjoys a virtual playdate with a friend, Felicia and I have been watching Station Eleven on HBO.
I've watched the show once already, and I'm rewatching it now as Felicia experiences it for the first time. We both read the novel six or seven years ago, and even traveled to Eugene to hear Emily St. John Mandel read from the book and give a little lecture about the research that went into the story.
By the way: If you haven't read Station Eleven, go read it. It's a wonderful novel. Makes the end of the world something quite lovely. But whether you've read it or not, watch the HBO show. It's the best thing I've seen in the last year, more than worth your time. (The first episode will be uncomfortable and familiar; hang in there, not every episode will be that way.)
