🚀The Dark Age: Echoes

Hello, friends!

There are times when, while working on a project, it feels like the world is echoing your themes right back to you. I don’t mean this in any sort of the universe is looking out for me mystical sort of way; instead, I think it’s that, as you think deeply about something, you begin to notice that thing where it already exists around you.

The Dark Age, as I’m sure you all know by now, revolves around the love between a parent and child, but it also contends with themes of loss, of distance, of loneliness, of regret.

Right now the writing is going very well. Every day I move both of my novel projects forward: I revise a stack of pages of the ghostwriting project, and then I write a scene, sometimes two or three, of The Dark Age. It’s easy when you’re not living in a project daily to forget what it’s like to do so: You feel so thoroughly immersed in the story that it goes everywhere you do.
