"Hello again, World!"

Hello,

The end of the year tends to make people nostalgic. This time is particularly interesting because it's the end of a decade. So going into 2020, I looked back at how I evolved my voice, knowledge, and persona on the internet. Here's what I found...

It started around the time I set up my Twitter account where I found myself sending tweets out into the ether. I didn't author anything riveting at the time, but it was a start for me to just start

My first attempt at writing a blog was really me just reblogging via tumblr in 2010 with the occasional thought or anecdote.

My second attempt at writing came in 2015 when I was inspired by something Hunter Walk wrote that I stumbled upon. Afterwards, I decided (again) to try and start writing publicly, this time via Medium.

Which brings me to the genesis of this newsletter. This started because midway through 2019, one of the PMs who reported to me went on parental leave. Even though he wasn’t in the office day-to-day, I wanted to continue to try and contribute something to their learning about product. So I decided to write a weekly newsletter to the group.

The goal: share interesting insights from things I read throughout the week that could inspire or give a different perspective on how we think about product from what's happening out in the world.

This is the same goal I'll want to maintain with this newsletter going into 2020. If you’re interested, subscribe and I’ll share these perspectives with you as well.
