Two shop updates & Tea4T info
Hello!
First off, a handful of ceramic pieces will be in the shop on Monday 4/21 at 11am Pacific. A mosasuar and ichthyosaur fossil mug (the ichthyosaur is a new design I’m testing out)…
…a raccoon pot (maybe perfect for storing your trashiest snacks?)…
…a Guardian planter with beetle companion…
…and a sculpture of a gentle creature that doubles as a shrine.

So those will be in the shop on Monday. The ichthyosaur mug and the planter are marked down as seconds due to irregularities in the way the glazes came out. Luckily the issues with them are minor, but it’s been a frustrating couple of weeks with the kiln. This update was delayed when three other pieces I was excited to share came out of firing with serious problems and couldn’t be part of the shop update. The issues were all completely unrelated to each other, too— just a coincidence that they happened around the same time. All part of the fun of ceramics! Oh well. Time to let it go.
Because of that delay, I’m going to do something I never do: two shop updates in one week. A gaggle of Beastlies will be in the shop on Friday, 4/25 at 11am Pacific. A gaggle doesn’t sound right. A mischief of Beastlies? A baffle of Beastlies? Well, it should be around a dozen, anyway.
Meanwhile, progress on preparations for the upcoming Tea4T fundraiser to benefit the Trans Youth Emergency Project is underway! About a dozen wonderful sculptors are contributing tea pals, and artist Emerald Barkley has made us a perfect painting to use as bonus card for all donors. We’ve already started receiving some sculpts from many of our artists, and each box a thrill to open.
I’m still working on getting a last few done before the deadline, but I should have more than 40 ready for when the Tea4T shop goes live on 4/29.

A good tip to keep in mind: the tea pets will be randomly selected for most donors, but at the higher tier of donation, we will do our best take requests (ie, specific artists, or maybe even your favorite animal) into account.

And that’s about it for now. Coming soon, I’ll have more shrine creatures and maybe a work-in-progress preview of some gallery pieces. In the meantime, see you on Monday for ceramics and Friday for Beastlies!
