Shop Update & Show Progress
Hello!
I’m going to flip things around from my usual routine and start with show instead of shop. Just for funsies.
Show Progress
I’ve got several pieces in various stages of sculpting and drying, so fingers are crossed that all of those make it to their final form without any of the many mishaps that are a regular part of ceramic sculpting. Here are few of those in progress:
One larger piece that’s been in the works for longer has more stages of progress to show:
Things have so far moved ahead about as well as I could have hoped with this guy. We’ll see if that continues through the next stages!
Shop Update
Meanwhile, the shop! I’ll have a small update on Thursday at noon Pacific this week, with these five pieces.
First, two fossil mugs:
Then two carved planters:
Plus one more piece — a vase with a return to another theme I come back to a lot: The idea of roots and underground burrows, imagery that reminds of things like veins and wombs. Life always reflects life in ways that I find magical.
I’ll be adding the dimensions to the shop listings shortly on those.
I’ve been enjoying the dark clay vessels with the porcelain creatures, so I’m heading back to the studio to throw some more vessels in that earthy brown-black today.
