Last shop update of the season

Things always seem to speed up near the end of the year. Everything except the firing schedule at the studio, which always becomes a little overloaded as all the potters try to get as much work done as possible while folks are shopping for gifts.

But just under the wire, a handful of my pieces came back from the kiln, and I’m going to get them in the shop as quickly as possible. I ship Priority within the US, so I feel pretty confident that anything sold within the first few days will get where it’s going before the 25th.

I have a lidded vessel featuring a seal hauling out on a rock (I really like how the bladderwrack came out)

A plesiosaur mug

A Guardian (& beetle) vessel in blue

A planter carved with fish bones

And a box turtle box, this one more like life size than the previous version.

And that will be the last drop of the year! But I’m already working on frog mugs, a beetle sake/mezcal set, a box topped with a cicada that takes me back to my childhood summers, and whatever else I can get made over the next handful of weeks.

I hope the end of your year is full of cozy times with people who love you.
