Ceramic Update & Fundraiser
Hello! Happy weekend to you!
I’ve got a handful of ceramic pieces to share, as well as details about an upcoming fundraiser that I’m really excited about.
I have a mix of vessels to put in the shop— I’m thinking Monday 3/31 at noon Pacific?
First off, there are two fossil pieces, including a crocodiley rutiodon on a mug and a plesiosaur vessel with a little nautiloid on the lid.
I also have two different types of planters— one carved with a scene I’m calling “Garden Ghosts,” and a blue one with a sculpted Guardian and little crab companion.
And finally, I have two vessels from different watery environments: a barnacled tide pool vase, and a crackly-glazed pond vessel with frog, lily pads, and a school of tiny minnows.

See you Monday at noon!
And now, about that fundraiser!
I’m partnering with Shing Yin Khor and about 10 other ceramics artists for a project we’re calling TEA 4 T.

We’re all crafting our own versions of tea pets — little ceramic buddies that are sometimes an element of traditional Chinese tea culture.

When we launch the fundraiser in mid-April, we’ll be using these small sculpts as rewards in order to raise money for causes to support trans rights.
I’m certainly not an expert in Chinese tea culture, but my wonderful brother has really begun to enjoy learning about it, and his excitement is infectious. He’s trans, he’s the best, and he’s my inspiration for this project.
Things are pretty scary and upsetting right now, but any opportunity we can find to help someone or advocate for the people in our communities who are more vulnerable, it’s worth doing. So let’s do this, and then some other things, and we’ll just keep going.
More details on this event to come soon!
