Short notice free online workshop opportunity
On March 12 at 7 pm Eastern, I’ll be teaching a FREE 90-minute mini-workshop on libretto writing with Guerilla Opera over Zoom! The workshop is open for anyone and offers a taste of how our Libretto Labs work. You'll create a mini-scene featuring two characters and learn how to depict and develop their personalities and goals through their language and using stage directions. We'll start with a prompt and then workshop our mini-scenes using Liz Lerman's Critical Response Process, a supportive and author-centered method of critique we use in all Libretto Labs programs. No prior dramatic writing experience is necessary, although familiarity with opera, musical theater, or plays will be helpful.
