π Issue #9 - I Always Try To Rhyme
Welcome to issue #9!
I took last week off to go camping with my family. Now that I’m back working, it’s interesting but not that surprising how easily the bad habits (“quickly” scrolling Twitter, TikTok, or Instagram) come back, and the good habits (avoiding Twitter, being efficient with my client work, napping on the floor of my office) are much slower to return.
Also - a special welcome to all the new subscribers around here. Going away and coming back to a bunch of new readers is always fun. Thanks for joining this little adventure!
On to the links!
Link Thought Things
My brother-in-law hates musicals. “Nobody sings that much!” Schmigadoon! is a new show on AppleTV+ that tells the story of a couple who fall into a musical and can’t get out. This is his nightmare.
Double jumping is a common thing in video games where you jump, and then press the jump button again while your character is in the air. A baseball player has done it in real life.
Instagram is always evolving in their desire to be the home for you to share moments, whatever format media takes.
One more Ted Lasso preview video to get you excited about the second season coming out later this month.
Podcasting Thought Things
Podcasts make for great listening during long drives in the summer. Sue found this one called Do You Know Mordechai? (Apple Podcasts / Spotify) that is fascinating look at the stories some people will tell to try and maintain an image of happiness.
Picture of the Week
This was my egg scrambler breakfast this morning at Hometown Diner here in Saskatoon. So good I had to snap a pic.
That’s it for this week!
