🍋 Issue #5 - Sometimes Teeth Remind You You're Alive
Welcome to issue #5 of Life as a Lemon
I’ve currently got some sort of tooth (or teeth?) issue that came on last night that I’m going to see the dentist about first thing in the morning. Thankful for available dentists but not looking forward to the pain and $$ of whatever is going on in my mouth.
On to the links!
Link Thought Things
I mentioned Twitter Blue, Twitter’s subscriber option, previously. It’s apparently now live for Australians and Canadians to test. Unfortunately Twitter didn’t consult with me and wait to launch this until I’m back from my Twitter sabbatical in July. :)
The Apple Watch Series 3 is the modern equivalent of the 2015 era iPhone with only 16GB of storage. 8GB of storage isn’t enough to be able to do an update.
Charles Grodin being interviewed by Johnny Carson is a master class in deconstructing the celebrity interview format.
I don’t have a good use case for an iPad, but the HoverBar Duo from Twelve South is such a good looking iPad stand that it makes me want to get one just to use that stand… for something? It’s US based so expensive shipping up here to Canada.
Mario Golf: Super Rush comes out for the Nintendo Switch later this month, and based on this review it looks like it’ll be a fun one for the family to play together.
Podcasting Thought Things
On a recent episode of Mac Power Users, hosts David and Stephen walk through their video workflow and gear. I’m a sucker for gear / studio walk throughs.
Ben Thompson just announced this as I hit send, but Passport looks to be an awesome system for creators to manage subscriptions to their newsletters and podcasts. Can’t wait to see what he builds out from this.
Picture of the Week
There’s nothing quite like a prairie sunset in the summer. I snapped this on a bike ride this week.
That’s it for this week!
