π Issue #20 I Almost Didn't Hit Send
Apple updates hardware, the future of RSS, and Fortnite's return to the original map sparks renewed interest.
Welcome to issue 20!
3 weeks back in and I get the "why the heck am I doing this thing?" vibe in my brain that tells me to shut it all down and nobody cares you're an idiot. So instead of listening to that voice, here's this week's stuff I would've tweeted if Elon hadn't barfed all over Twitter.
Enjoy!

Thoughts I Would Have Tweeted
Apple announced updated iMac & MacBook Pro hardware with a video on Halloween eve. The most interesting part was the tagline at the end that said the video was "Shot on iPhone. Edited on a Mac". They've released a behind the scenes making of video showing how it was done.
"The Future of RSS is Textcasting" is clickbait for me. I love talking about this kind of tech that connects humans together through the words they write and say. Who wants to grab a beverage and chat?
I never understood why fights break out with parents at a hockey game until tonight when I heard a hockey mom shouting "turn and burn!" at her kid for 3 straight periods.
Apple would do a lot more for my health if they developed a Watch feature that zapped me every time it sensed that I was opening a mini chocolate bar.
What Fortnite is doing by returning to the original map is working because one of my kids, who hasn't played Fortnite for months, is now suddenly back into it again.

Podcasts
- Keys To The Kingdom explores the peculiar backstage life of theme park characters, performers, and fans. The trailer should tell you all you need to know.
- SmartLess is, yes, yet another podcast of celebrities talking to their celebrity friends. But Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, & Will Arnett are genuinely funny while doing it. Plus they have a great chat with Bono so I have to recommend it.
