🍋 Issue #36 - You Can't Fight Crazy
It's hard to not be political in here when all the world shouts about is politics.
Welcome to issue #36!
This weekend I was formulating a plan to try to ignore, to the best of my ability, all the chaos being generated from my southern neighbour. And then I read how “Canada is the next Ukraine” in their eyes and that seems like something that shouldn’t be ignored.
I really wish our news would, as John Gruber put it, stop sane-washing the proclamations coming out of the States.
Woof.
I’m really, really trying to keep political news out of this newsletter because I’m sure you get enough of it everywhere else. But some days it’s just all consuming.
On to the email!
Words I Wrote
Links to blog or social media posts I published in the past week.
I wrote nothing on my blog this week, so here’s a couple from the past encouraging you to start your own blog:
Linking to Likes
YouTube videos, blog posts, podcast episodes—whatever I've enjoyed or found interesting over the last few weeks.
Will OpenAI Ads Click with Users? - Allegedly even their highest tier pricing isn't profitable, so like every other internet service, AI has to turn to ads I suppose?
1000 Players Simulate Civilization: Rich & Poor - The story of the world as told in Minecraft. My kids reminded me that they 🙄 told me about this months ago.
A fun trick for getting discovered by LLMs and AI tools - Shockingly the first tip isn't "Get a lemon themed newsletter to link to your blog."
Relinq - For when you have a friend on Spotify, Apple Music, or YouTube Music and you're trying to share artist or song suggestions with each other.
Picture From My Life

The game (not pictured) was Machi Koro 2.
