Hello! Welcome to mid-November and 37 days until Xmas day if the AI search box I used is to be believed.

I've been playing a game that the ShopTalk Show Discord hooked me on called BALL x PIT that will only sound weirder if I try to explain it.

One novel "feature" the game has that I'm finding really refreshing is the ability to just pause the game. No more "just finishing a match!", I can just... pause it like it's 1988 and I'm playing Super Mario Bros. on my NES.

The ability to pause. What a novel idea.

• Golden candlesticks - Dave looks back to try to understand the present day.
• Precious Plastic - Also from Mr. Rupert comes this post about open sourcing the ability to run a plastic recycling business to better the world.
• How Disneyland Used Color To Manipulate You - Via Matt Haughey comes a cool video showing how Disneyland uses color in their parks.

This Week at Lemon Productions

It's not always easy to talk about client work when it’s not public yet, but I thought I'd link to episodes I found interesting, or fun things happening in podcasting that I come across.

• Justin Jackson co-hosts The Panel with Brian Casel and last week they opened up the call in “link” to anyone to join, and the co-founder of Riverside—the app they were using to record the call with—joined the call.
• Record a multi-person podcast on iPhone using the Detail app - You do need some gear + the Detail app, but it's a pretty slick way to record a podcast in a pinch. In person podcast recordings are so much better, but also so much more technically difficult.
• Podcast diversity is ‘woeful’, says new report - The long running joke of “men starting a podcast instead of going to therapy” has its origins in researched data.
