Just launched my first newsletter and website; stepping toward my dream with every story I write.

Welcome!
Welcome to my first newsletter issue! To be completely honest, this is all new to me. Please bear with me for the first few issues while I work out the kinks.
This feels a bit like shouting into the void. Who knows? Maybe it more or less is. As of the time of writing this, I haven’t even properly announced my website yet!
I appreciate anyone that comes and reads this newsletter, and any of my stories or blog posts. More than can be expressed. It pushes me that many steps closer to being able to do this more permanently.
This is my start line. This newsletter, and the launch of my website, mark the first steps on the long path toward a dream I didn’t even know I held for myself. I appreciate anyone that gives me support, pushing me along that path and helping me reach my goal. Though the end line isn’t in sight now—and there may not even be one—I want to chase it as though it’s just out of sight.
Now, enough sappy stuff…
I suppose it’s about time to give my first update. There isn’t much to share right now. I’ve loved putting together all this stuff—it’s become a bit of an obsession over the past few days. The layout, the reading experience, the content, this newsletter—all of them have received little touches that make them exactly what I would want. However, please let me know if anything could use changing, or if any features are missing.
The first piece of writing I’m going to be working on for the foreseeable future is a revision of the story that made me believe this was something I could do in the first place: Extirpation. It’s a contemporary sci-fi centering on a family trying to keep themselves and the world from breaking. The revision will add new scenes, adjust some characters’ trajectories, and generally make the plot more coherent and aligned with the kind of story I would want to read.
I’m also working on two other projects here and there, mentioned in my blog post (which you can find below). I won’t go into too much depth about those now. Expect an announcement of them in a future issue.
