Contribute to Open-Science Research with Legesher!
Hi y’all! 👋
I am currently participating in “Expedition Aya,” Cohere Lab’s open science research hackathon, where I have the awesome opportunity to co-lead a “crew” with Saad Bazaz from Grayhat!
We are looking for individuals who are willing to contribute over the next ~10 days!
For this two week sprint 🏃🏽♀️, we're investigating whether non-English code improves multilingual reasoning in LLMs. We've translated Python's reserved words (if, for, print, etc.) into languages like Urdu, Amharic, and Chinese so you can write real Python code in your language.

How you can help:
1. Review our keyword translations (~30 min, no coding experience required)
We've translated Python's reserved words into Urdu, Amharic, and Chinese. We need native speakers to check if the translations feel natural and correct.
2. Write a small program in your language (optional, any skill level)
Using our translated keywords, write a simple Python program (even a hello world counts!). We'll walk you through setup and then your code will become part of our open dataset.
Please respond here or join our Legesher Slack if you're interested in helping!
With love,
