Learning About Learning

Hello friends,

Lately, I’ve been sitting with a question that feels both personal and shared:  In a time of disruption, how do we learn in ways that truly meet the moment we’re in?

Not just learn new information ~ but learning in ways that help us become more responsive, more grounded, and more able to sense what’s needed as things continue to shift.

I wanted to share a few glimpses of where I’m learning about learning right now.

1. From my own inquiry
(Learning as a Personal Practice)

The Learning Imperative
Article · 7 min read

We’re living in a time where the maps we inherited no longer fully guide us ~ while something new is not yet fully formed. What happens when learning shifts from a nice-to-have to the organizing principle of a system?

If you’ve been sensing that this moment is asking something deeper of you, you might find language for that edge here.

2. From a TSS Wisdom Keeper
(Learning as Generative Conversation)

Conversations for Learning
Video · 6 min listen

There are different ways we come together in conversation. In this short clip, social psychologist Pascale Mompoint-Gaillard of the TSS community explores what allows conversations to become generative.

If you’re curious about where conversation itself becomes a space of discovery, this is worth a watch.

3. From the TSS field itself
(Learning as a Collective Capacity)

Practicing Antifragility Together
Article · 7 min read

The TSS field is young, distributed, and still forming the structures that can hold what’s emerging. What becomes possible when TSS practitioners begin to sense and respond not just individually, but as a more connected whole?

For those working across TSS methodologies and lineages who are interested in strengthening the connective tissue between ourselves, this offers a glimpse into that practice.

💌 Until next time

If there’s anything I’m continuing to notice, it’s that the ways we’ve been taught to learn don’t fully hold what this moment is asking of us.

And yet, many of us are already sensing our way into something different ~ often quietly, without much language ~ but not alone.

There are moments, in certain conversations, where something else becomes available. Where thinking loosens, attention deepens, and something begins to take shape between us.

I’ve been staying close to those moments.

Some of that exploration continues through small, sensing conversations ~ spaces where we listen, attune, and follow what begins to emerge in the field between us. What becomes visible there doesn’t stay contained. It finds its way back out ~ as patterns, as questions, as early signals ~ through Enriching Connections.

If you feel drawn to step into a conversation around learning and Human Development in an Age of Acceleration, you’re welcome to reply and share a bit about what’s calling you.

If you’d rather stay at the edge and remain in contact with what’s unfolding, you can follow along through Enriching Connections, and add your own sensing as you feel moved.

In quiet kinship,
Laureen
