*Extreme Sorry I haven't updated this blog in a while guys voice*: For each of the last four Thursdays, I've meant to do a new edition of this newsletter, and each time I was too tired or too busy with work or too "what's the point of any of this at all?" to get it together and do it. Which I think means it's time to slow it down, take a step back, or do both at once to perform a mime routine of someone walking in reverse in slow motion.

My current thinking is that I may start doing one edition a month every third Thursday (just because "third Thursday" is fun to say), but tbd. You'll know when I do. If you'd like off this train now, please (as always) feel free to unsubscribe at the link at the bottom of this email.

In the meantime, a poem:

For My Young Friends Who Are Afraid

There is a country to cross you will
find in the corner of your eye, in
the quick slip of your foot--air far
down, a snap that might have caught.
And maybe for you, for me, a high, passing
voice that finds its way by being
afraid. That country is there, for us,
carried as it is crossed. What you fear
will not go away: it will take you into
yourself and bless you and keep you.
That's the world, and we all live there.

—William Stafford

Bye,

Laura
