I'm not trying to piss anyone off. Honestly. But I can't help snowflakes getting upset from reading the truth.
Here's the corrected 9/29 strip:
I'm not upset over the comments. Hell, I knew it was going to happen. But I am upset over the typo. It happens. Nothing is perfect; especially, if I have anything to do with it.
I've been watching and reading GoComics comments before I started writing the strip. I appreciate the "snark crew." They're friendly people. But I've said this before: there is no such thing as apolitical art. You can't tell me the iconic 80s action flick First Blood starring Sylvester Stallone is not political. But I'll bet the "non-woke" readers love that shit. If that came out today, they would've hated it because it was anti-American!
I don't know how or why people are confused. Thankfully, someone strung the hints I'm dropping here. I don't want to spoon-feed the audience, but I don't want to alienate them.
Anyways, I'll be in New York next week for NYCC. You can find me at F-26 with Bryan Valenza. I hope we can meet and talk about Thorp.
