"Thought a Rarity on Paper" by Billy Collins: Relatively tolerable for Collins because it's mostly concerned with reminiscence, so there's not much time for smarmy philosophy. Does it have much of interest to say? Maybe not. Are any of the similes better than functional? Nah. But I can still see Spicer through Collins' eyes, fogged by "another still cold quart."
