Somehow, LWNY returned...

Hey all,

This week’s magazine is a comedy-themed Archive Issue, which made me think it was an apt time to try something funny around here. I decided to mash up the main edition, the Weekend Special, and the Cartoon and Poem Supplement into one great unwieldy assemblage, in part because I felt like it, and also just because the issue is very short – like, weirdly short – so I read it faster than usual, and I didn’t have that much to say about any of the pieces.

Well, that was the idea, but I wasn’t the only one with funny business on the mind. As I do every week, I quite deliberately made the same error so many before me have made and so many after shall make: Writing directly in the CMS. It is truly inevitable that at some point a partly-composed newsletter would vanish; this was simply my time to learn a lesson. All my iffy bits have been lost in time like tears in rain. Time to rewrite.

You can expect the full tripartite newsletter sometime before Monday. I composed this email directly in the CMS.

Nooooo! I'm sorry. I have not done what you did (I do not entirely understand it but I think I get the gist), but I have closed without saving...
