Solidarity! Student Council slate announcement & special election announcement
Hey y’all, LASA YDSA has been cooking in the kitchen and we have some exciting news to share.
Solidarity! Our slate for Student Council
We are officially launching our slate for student council, Solidarity! We’re gonna need all hands on deck to be able to unseat the incumbents, but I believe we’re up to the task. There will be door-knocking, relational organizing events, and more throughout the next couple months.
Our Candidates
2026 President: Reese Armstrong
2025 Vice President: Conner Praba
If you’re interested in running on our slate, please contact Reese at me@reeseric.ci!
Our platform
Regular updates from our offices about our work and town halls with constituents to discuss issues.
Transparency and accountability in student government, instead of backroom meetings
Fighting for a fair democratic process for student government.
Working for you, not college apps or cozying up to special interests
Supporting our union locals in our fights for justice on campus
Representing us to other bodies to build power that can deliver results.
Getting involved
If you’d like to get involved with our campaign, please fill out the following form and I’ll reach out to you to get you plugged in.
Resignation of Casey Clements and special election announcement
I am saddened to announce the resignation of our co-chair Casey Clements. Casey did great work for us over her tenure of nearly 2 years with LASA YDSA.
I am hereby announcing a special election for co-chair to take place the first Tuesday back from break. If you would like to run, please let me know.
Please share Union cards!
We are trying to hit 10% by next week and we’re only at 7%! Please share the link, https://lasastudents.org, with all of your friends and get them to sign. We need to build up this coalition!
Thank you for being with us in this fight.
In solidarity,
Reese Armstrong
