Brand new newsletter

Hi there!

I guess there’s a first time for everything!

Those of you who know me personally may have an idea of how awkward it is for me to write a newsletter about this project, so bear with me as I give this a try. I do, of course, already have two blogs (one at applied-paranoia.com and one at rlc.vlinder.ca), but this somehow feels more personal — like writing an email rather than writing a blog post. I’ll give it a try, though, and, like my blogs, I’ll try to give you an update on how things are going with the first book, and then with whatever other stories I come up with, as things go along.

As for the first book: a sci-fi thriller. The manuscript is written, the edits are in, and corrections to grammar and spelling are all done. We’re off to the races, and The Apoptotic Cascade is on its way to your virtual and physical bookshelves!

It’s a “hard” sci-fi thriller in the sense that everything I describe is theoretically possible with the science and technology we have today. No magic, no lightsabers, no warp speed. I’ll try not to post any spoilers, but I will tell you that the story is grounded in science I was once very familiar with, and in technology I am very familiar with now.

What I mean by that will become clearer in future iterations of this newsletter.

Thank you for subscribing to the newsletter!

Ronald
