Dear friends and collaborators,
If you are receiving this e-mail it means that you have demonstrated interest in our project towards the development of an Avatar for the Lahn River. As such, here you will find a special opportunity to help co-create it!
As you know, we have been working hard to develop an AI system that will allow people to interact with the vast body of human knowledge around the Lahn and, hopefully, the Lahn itself. So far, this has involved a lot of deep research, conversations (with many of you, as well as the Lahn), and some initial prototyping. And that is what we've come to share.
We are excited to invite you to the first try-out of the Lahn Avatar. In a nutshell, we've created a first text based interface that you can use to converse with the Lahn AI Avatar. It is not perfect, nor finished. The purpose of this version is to help us gather early feedback from you, so we can improve the experience moving forward. In this same spirit, we will try to run as many try-outs like this as we can throughout our residency.
💬 How to participate?
Visit this link. You will find some info and a chat window that allows you to talk to the avatar. You can talk to it about anything you'd like, for as long as you want. Both in English and German.
After you are done, please scroll down the same page and you will find a survey form that you can use to inform us about your experience, providing feedback that we will use for future improvements.
This is your opportunity to help shape how the avatar evolves, responds, and speaks as a manifestation of the Lahn. And we very much look forward to learning from you!
