VACHERIN MONT D'OR: Charles and Patrick Hauser

Without further ado…
A slight change in programming this year due to the restrictions involving France, but we are pleased to announce we have received our first batches of Vacherin Mont D‘or.
A mere 24km south of Sancey Richard, our French producer of Mont D’or, you will find Patrick and Charles Hauser. Located in Le Lieu, Switzerland, the duo have been producing Vacherin Mont D’or since 1991. Hauser source their milk from a small network of local farms, a majority situated on mountain pasture.
The quality and profile of their cheese is as anyone would expect, exceptional. Rich, floral and bursting with life, the younger cheeses can easily be eaten as is (but baking them is still certainly a great option)!
Dare I say, ‘Its beginning to look a lot like…’.
