Today I want to share something a little more personal. The story behind how and why La Bean came to be!
🌙 The Dream That Sparked It All
One night, I had a dream that I was shopping for sex toys in a witchy little shop. And in true dream-nonsense fashion there were some very silly sex toys.
When I woke up, I thought:
“Why don’t sex toys like that exist in real life?”
That question kicked off a creative spiral that led to La Bean! A playful, femme-forward, neurodivergent-friendly pleasure brand. One full of whimsy, customization, and a whole lot of personality.
🫧 Why Me? A Personal Journey
Discovering my queer identity, navigating trauma, and understanding my neurodivergent and disabled body has been a difficult but liberating journey.
I grew up religious and repressed, and it took years of slow, hard work to unlearn shame and discover what intimacy could actually feel like.
La Bean is deeply personal. It’s the brand I wish I had access to during all those years of confusion and disconnect. Sex and pleasure doesn’t need to be this serious dark taboo, it can be playful, and joyful, and affirming!
If you’ve ever felt like mainstream pleasure products weren’t made for you, I see you. You’re why I’m doing this.
