Recent Posts, Project Updates, and more
Hey everyone! 👋🏻
Hope your last few months have been great! It's been a busy season for me with the launch of Agathist, learning the ropes of running a business, and diving into some exciting client projects.
Since you're probably juggling a lot, too, I wanted to give you a quick recap on some of my latest blog posts (in case you missed them) and share a couple Agathist projects we recently completed.

Responsive Design & Composition
Responsive styles can be very complex and difficult to maintain. Here, I propose an alternative strategy that solves both those problems through component composition.
Design System Retrospect
I spent 2 years working on an internal, cross-platform design system that supported both React and React Native. I share some of my insights, some regrets, and things I would do differently next time.
Prefer Multiple Compositions
This post precedes the responsive design one above and covers similar ground. What can I say? I'm a big fan of composition! Here I explain we can write better code by favoring multiple compositions, even if it's less DRY.
Agathist Project Updates
We have been fortunate in finding a couple clients quickly and working on some cool projects for them, like these ones:
Parfour - A live streaming app dedicated to golf
Parfour was in need of a team that could build web and mobile frontends for their app idea, bring live streaming to the golf course. We built two apps in just a few months, as well as a cross-platform design system to keep them developing quickly in the future.
AI.Engineer - Coming in clutch
The folks behind AI.Engineer and their collection of conferences needed some last minute help getting their website and mobile apps built for their upcoming World's Fair conference. In just 3 weeks, we were able to finish all the work necessary for both web & mobile, as well as some stretch goals, too.
Can you help me and Agathist find our next client(s)?
It's been thrilling to work on these projects and build relationships with clients, but we could use your help to find more people who could benefit from our expertise. If you know anyone who needs a project built, rescued, or resurrected by experts in React, React Native, and frontend development, please connect us with them.
You can send any potential clients to the Agathist site, perhaps specifically to this post: The Agathist Difference, in order to learn more about us. Also, feel free to email me directly at kyle@agath.ist.
I appreciate you all and am grateful for your time. Thanks so much for your support and help.
