new song: Elixir
greetings subscribérs,
i'm writing with news of a new song, perhaps the harbinger of a whole new record (duh), but for today that's unimportant.

it's called "Elixir." i recorded this in the home studio of sam owens (aka sam evian) in between hands of poker. this is just a bunch of people in a room recording live, a very laid-back way to be. between us, this is kind of a love song to kevin ayers' "shouting in a bucket blues."
for any ursula-heads here, she's on this song. i just let her hang around me while i recorded vocals and things developed naturally. no one will like this as much as she does when she hears herself.

to any lovely brits, i have no travel plans for my own music yet but will be over in july with Julie Byrne playing her new record, which is drop dead gorgeous.
