This story isn't for the faint of heart!

Hi
Ever read one of those super suspenseful books that you just can’t put down? I read one earlier this month: Missing in Flight by Audrey J. Cole. It’s got one of those impossible sounding premises. “A woman is faced with the unthinkable when her infant son goes missing aboard a flight to New York.” I mean, how could a baby possibly disappear on an airplane, right? Well … If you love mystery, intrigue and suspense, I highly recommend you read it and find out. (And no, it has nothing to do with clean romance, but since I’m still thinking about the story two weeks after reading it, I just had to give it a mention.)
My current work in progress
I’m happy to announce that I’m about two-thirds of the way through The Art of New Beginnings, book three in my Ragin’ Moon Refuge series. Here’s the summary in case you missed it last month.
After five years in prison for a crime she didn't commit, 28-year-old Morgan Mayfield is finally free but faces a world that has turned against her. Seeking anonymity and a fresh start, she travels to Big Pine, MT, where fond childhood memories of her grandmother linger. On her journey, she rescues a puppy and, desperate for a job, assumes a new identity as 'Aria Monroe' while finding shelter at the Ragin' Moon Refuge run by the warm hearted Lascari family.
As she settles in, Aria forms a bond with Gio Lascari, a passionate cook with dreams of chef school, but her past threatens to unravel when a former acquaintance recognizes her. With the specter of her old life looming, Aria must confront her secrets and the repercussions of her choices. Ultimately, she learns that embracing her past may be the key to building a new future.
I’m aiming for a mid-fall release. Thanks so much for your patience and support even though I’m not one of those authors who can churn out a book every couple of months 😀 But I’m always planning ahead, even if it takes me awhile to get there. Speaking of which …
Help me name my next heroine
I’d love to have your input on a name for my heroine in book four. Naming my characters early on helps me think of them as real people and makes it easier for me to get to know them and create their story. I’ve narrowed it down to five choices and have used them to create my first survey. (I’ve never done a survey before so I hope it turns out right! Forgive me if it doesn’t.)
More book recommendations
Once in a while I like to share what we authors refer to as a “newsletter builder.” In case you’re not familiar, it’s where a group of authors offer a free book in return for your email. It’s a terrific way for you to discover new talent, so be sure to browse these sweet and low-heat contemporary romances HERE.
That’s it for this month. I’ll be back in touch in June with more bookish related news. (June: that’s officially summer, yay!)
Happy reading,
K.T.
