Here in north Idaho (like many places) we’ve had another crazy wildfire season. Our pasture grass is so dry it crackles when you walk on it, and we’ve been under red flag warnings numerous times in the past weeks. I love summer, but I’m really ready for some refreshing fall rains! Hope you’re keeping safe and cool wherever you are.

You know I often pick up a book that’s received a lot of hype and end up disappointed. Before We Were Yours, by Lisa Wingate is not one of those books. It’s powerful, heartfelt and poignant. No, it’s not all light and fluffy and happy ever after. But I guarantee it will stick with you for quite some time.
