My top reads of 2024 (plus my new cover :)

Hi
Can you believe we’re nearly to the end of another year? I hope it’s been a good one for you. As for me, the latter half brought huge changes as my father suffered a serious stroke in June, and now he and my mom live with my husband and me. Both a big challenge and a privilege. We’ve slowly settled into a workable routine, but caretaking has definitely cut into my writing time. But in spite of it all …
Check out my new cover!

Pretty cool, huh! I love this cover because it perfectly captures my story’s mix of suspense, sweet romance, and of course, a dog. I’m planning a mid January book launch, and if you’re on my ARC team, you’ve already been notified you can begin reading. If not, here’s the tag line to whet your appetite 😀
“When justice turns personal, a juror becomes the target of revenge, and love becomes her only refuge.”
I’ll be sure to let you know as soon as it’s available.
My three favorite reads of 2024
Remarkably Bright Creatures, by Shelby Van Pelt
This story traces a widow’s unlikely connection with a giant Pacific octopus. It may sound a bit implausible, but it’s not! It’s original and poignant, and I really enjoyed the interesting characters, especially Marcellus the octopus, and all the feels the story delivers.
Every Breath, by Nicholas Sparks
If you’re a N.S. fan, you’ll love this. It has adventure, exotic animals, (the male love interest guides African safaris in Zimbabwe) a romantic Southern setting, and of course, a touching, poignant love story with a satisfying ending.
The Love Dog, by Elsa Watson
When a jobless young writer is hired to dig up dirt on a popular reality television dating show, she’s sure it’s the break she’s been waiting for … until she falls in love with the show’s host and its canine star. It’s a charming, fun and surprisingly suspenseful story.
What was your favorite read of 2024? I’d love to know, so hit reply and share. I’ll be back in touch soon to announce the release of Whispers of Retribution. Thanks so much for your patience, and for sticking with me.
Happy reading,
K.T.
