KT's no good very bad month

Hi
Hope you’re doing well! Sorry for the dismal sounding subject line, but July has left me feeling like the two pups above … pawsitively pooped! And not just because of the heatwave gripping much of the U.S. Sadly, my wonderful dad had a stroke a few weeks ago. He’s actually doing pretty well and recovering in rehab. But along with all the stress and worry, the hospital is over an hour away, and getting my mom down to visit every other day has really turned everything upside down. But we’re trying hard to stay positive. So … on to some good news :)
Writing updates:
Yep, despite it all, I’m eking out a paragraph or two at a time on Whispers of Redemption, book two in my Ragin’ Moon Refuge series. Quick teaser line: When justice turns personal, a juror becomes the target of retribution, and love becomes her only refuge. I’ll share more as soon as I can.
Calling all Smashwords fans
If you love the Smashwords store, you probably already know that they’re holding a huge July sale with thousands of titles. ALL of my books are included at 50% off! And I mean all, romance as well as my middle grade titles. If you (or your kiddos) need to stock up on summer reading, now’s the time.
I’m adding a link to one romance title and one middle grade. But once you get on the page, just scroll down to find all the other titles as well. And remember, A Country Kind of Love, book 1 in my Huckleberry Ridge Romance series, is FREE, not just on Smashwords, but on all platforms :)
July’s Recommendations
I discover so many great books it’s hard to feature just one, so you get two again! First up: A Second Chance in Bent Creek, by Catie Cahill. Catie lives with her family in Kentucky but half her heart is in the Rocky Mountains. She loves animals, travel, reading, and spending time with family. If you love clean, second chance or small town love stories, I think you’ll enjoy her story. Plus, it’s available on all platforms. Click on the cover and check it out.

Next up: Cowboy Justice, by P. Creeden. Pauline married her college sweetheart, who she met at a horse farm :) Together they raise a menagerie of animals and their one son. She pens sweet romance and mystery featuring down to earth characters who don’t feel they deserve love and are surprised when it finds them. Cowboy Justice is a fun story I think you’ll enjoy.

That’s it for this time. Keep cool, do lots of reading, and I’ll be back in touch in August :)
