Bookish News and a Cool Surprise
Hi
Hope today is finding you well and enjoying summer. Here in north Idaho, summer can take a long time to get here, but once it does, it’s here to stay. Fine by me :) Lots to report so let’s dive in.
Whispers of Retribution
That’s the title of my current work in progress, book 2 in my Ragin’ Moon Refuge series. It features a Great Dane named Maxwell :) Do you happen to own one? If so, be sure to hit reply and help me out by sharing a fun fact or quirk about the breed. Admittedly, I’m only on chapter three, but here’s a quick teaser:
“When justice turns personal, a juror becomes the target of retribution, and love becomes her only refuge.”
I promise to keep you updated on my progress. If you still need to pick up book one, A Gamble of the Heart, you can do so right HERE. It will soon be available on all platforms and I’ll let you know for sure when it is.
A Cool Surprise
I’ve always loved and supported libraries. So I was tickled to receive an email from Indie Idaho, letting me know that A Country Kind of Love, book one in my Huckleberry Ridge series is now available in all libraries in Idaho and the region through the Biblioboard Library app. I learned that this is a collaboration between libraries and indie authors in their home states. I don’t know enough about it yet to provide a link, but still, it’s pretty cool and I wanted to share :)
Large print
My mom loves to read, but she’s getting up there in years. She has some vision problems on top of it, so large print is a big boon to her. I’ve been considering making some of my novels large print and wondered how much interest my subscribers might have in this idea. If you would be interested in a large print option would you let me know so I can gauge if it’s a viable idea? Thanks so much!
June’s recommendations
I have two for you this month. First up: Reunion at Spindrift Cottage by Kaitlynn Clarkson. It’s a great, feel-good beach read (with a HEA of course) about a troubled marriage and love returning from the brink. It’s free to read in KU, so be sure to check it out!
Last, but certainly not least, is Solitary Cowboy, by Braylee B. Parkinson. If you love clean and wholesome romance about reclusive cowboys and the women who force them to give real love a chance, this one might be right down your alley. Also free to read in KU.
That’s it for this time. Please remember to let me know if you have a Great Dane, or if you’re interested in large print. Have a great day!
K.T.
