Music, music, music!
Radio Tacoma airs a wide variety of music, and most of the musicians are local artists. We now air hours dedicated to particular genres, too.
Genres:
Americana: On Thursdays at 5:00pm, listen to traditional music with roots across the country.
Jazz: Hot licks or cool riffs, enjoy them on Saturdays at 5:00pm.
Reggae: Move to the downbeat Saturdays at 6:00pm.
Punk: Rock out on Saturdays at 10:00pm.
Local sounds:
Local musicians playlist: Sunday from 2:00-4:00pm
Local Roots Music Northwest Show: Sunday 4:00 - 6:00pm
We also air a show called Artist Spotlight where we interview local musicians. In our most recent episode we talk with Tara Chugh and Jody Ellen of The Sirens. You can catch the show at 9:00pm on Wednesdays and Fridays and at 10:00pm on Sundays.
The collection
If you want to see a partial list of the musicians we air (we add new musicians every month or so), you can find it on our website under Music and Artists.
If you wish to send us music, you can email us at [email protected]. We cannot air covers, as we don't have a music license yet. All songs aired on KTAH need to be FCC compliant.
If you are interested in working with Radio Tacoma in any capacity, please contact us at [email protected] or send us a message on Facebook. We meet at the studio, located at 950 Broadway in downtown Tacoma, on the third Monday of each month at 2:00pm.
