A short missive, as I’m off on family vacation.
People often ask why I do this intense new year’s process for each year when the world always goes topsy turvy. It’s true, my 2020 goals were…not reached.
But this process is more about reflection than planning. As a perpetual future planner, I often lose sight of what has been accomplished and how far I’ve come in my lifelong goals. This short booklet is about hitting reset each year and making sure I know where I am so I can know where I want to be.
Please let me know what you think of it, and feel free to share. Many creators charge for similar workbooks, but this is my gift to you, my beloved little community of supporters and fellow Middles. I just ask you please attribute to me or this newsletter.

A man of two faces by Viet Thanh Nguyen. Just started it, but I adore his writing. It’s a memoir that explores identity, something I’ve been thinking about.
Salted egg potato chips. Blame my trip to Singapore for that. You can get them in the US at some Asian grocery stores.
Plaka relief sandals. A little more support than regular flip flops and they don’t look orthopedic.
The Buccaneers on AppleTV+. The season ended badly but they also are trying to make an Edith Wharton novel into a multi-season show for some reason. Otherwise, it’s lighthearted, fun and my type of period drama.
