Hey there,

Sorry for the radio silence, I’ve been really busy since early in June. My son is headed to junior high next year, and the Summer Break has been in full swing.

Regular Studio Work has been non existent for me, still. Maybe it’s been different for you, I hope it has. It’s made me feel pretty bad, but it’s also not like I’m doing nothing… I have two kids who are both on summer vacation right now so there’s that… As far as creative work, I’ve been working on a couple of short projects for non-profits and friends, but nothing like what my career was like before. I’ve been really into gardening, tidying my house, and getting back into running…  But, I haven’t pitched anyone a show idea in quite a while.

So… I’ve started a Patreon. It’s launching today. I made a video to tell you more about it.

I’m still trying to figure out a good balance of what to do on there. It’s all in flux since the world itself is not the same from one week to the next. I hope to be focussed on making my own work to put on Patreon for at least the next year, unless some miraculous offer that I can’t refuse comes walking into my life. Its the best I can do with my skills and services for now, in a way that just might bring weird but funny projects and ideas back to our professional lives, and won’t kill the spirit of life from the depths of my soul (sorry to put it like that but people have been telling me what it feels like to be working in a studio, currently, and it basically sounds like that).

Not everything I plan to cover is about the animation industry…

There’s a lot going on with AI, tech, and everyone being on social media all the time… I’m trying to turn some of my activism towards combatting things about all that because I find the negative qualities about it create problems in both my professional and personal life—

I’ll talk about that more at a later date.
