Yesterday, #2 PJ Harvey, STORIES FROM THE CITY, STORIES FROM THE SEA defeated #127 Moloko, THINGS TO MAKE AND DO, 105-8-1. I don’t have stats available to me, but I’m pretty sure this is the biggest stomping an album has received in the history of Best Albums vote percentage wise (92.9% vs. 7.1%), at least in a match of 100 or more cast votes. What I do know for sure is this match unseats the STANKONIA vs. CRYSTAL GAZING LUCK AMAZING match (Match #1) for biggest vote differential. (Match #1: 76 votes, Match #33: 97 votes.) Best Album voters, makin’ history.

FURTHERMORE, PLEASE NOTE: Tomorrow I’ll be driving the ten hours from Tennessee to Wisconsin, so two things. 1) Turning off the match on time will be, not tricky, just kind of annoying, and the match might run a little longer than normal. Hopefully that won’t matter. 2) The Weekly Wrap-Up newsletter won’t happen until Sunday. Apologies in advance!

Thanks for all your voting! You folks keep the tournament going.

Kent
