#494 The Best Album of 2001, Round 1 Match #57: Radiohead vs. Whiskeytown

Best Album Brackets Logo #2.jpg

Hey folks!

First pic: An old and distressed red hardcover book, placed horizontally so its spine is at the top, on a black background. The spine is damaged and peeling. On the book is a sketch of a spindly, bald, almost alien figure that seems to be holding its hands to its eyes, as if crying. Second pic: A diagram of a hand in white against a starry background. The hand has been divided up into many many segments with various occult symbols and writing all over the hand.
Radiohead, AMNESIAC vs. Whiskeytown, PNEUMONIA

Just a reminder:

There’s going to be a Best Album of 2001 Virtual Karaoke Event on June 14th! Hope to see you there! But our intrepid organizers @lanna.bsky.social and @nanette.bsky.social need you to let them know some things: where in the world you are so a good start time can be chosen, if you want to sing (you don’t have to!), and if so, what. Please go here and take a minute to fill out the form. Thanks!

Now, onto the match!

Today’s Best Album of 2001 match is:

#6 Radiohead, AMNESIAC

Listen on Spotify or YouTube

vs.

#123 Whiskeytown, PNEUMONIA
