Hey folks!

Seed voting for the Best Album of 2001 continues — we are currently at 173 ballots! Wow! (1989 seed voting had 201 ballots, so reaching that total seems within grasp.) Thank you for everyone who nominated the albums and have voted in the seeds, and are talking about the albums on Bluesky, and just… just thanks.

If you haven’t filled out a ballot yet (or have and want to change something), here’s the link to the Google Form. I’ll be shutting it off late Sunday night/early Monday morning, and hope to announce the seeds that Wednesday evening (March 11th). So be sure to get your ballot in!

In an ideal world, you would have heard all 128 albums, making your votes informed. I know we don’t live in that ideal world. But if you’re doing some last minute listening, I urge you to focus on the contest winners. They’re named late in the process, so don’t get as much attention, and that’s usually reflected in the final seeds. Buck the trend! Listen to these and if conscience permits, vote for them!
