Hey folks!

Don’t forget, I’ll be announcing the first entrants into the Best Album of 2001 tournament on the @bestalbumbrackets.bsky.social account on Bluesky, today at 6pm CST. How excited am I? Extremely, since, as of this writing, I haven’t completed the data collation and have no idea how many albums there will be or all of what made it in. (There are a bunch that jump out, though. Be prepared to not be surprised, but be prepared to be occasionally a bit surprised.)

If you missed it, worry not! I will send out another newsletter today, with the complete announced lineup. This will not have Spotify or YouTube links, because time is crunched right now. But when the full 128 album lineup is announced, I’ll have full links to the albums.

(“But Kent, since you’re not done yet, how do you know you won’t end up with exactly 128 albums today?” Here’s your answer: shut up shut up shut up shut up.)
