#37 Seed Voting for the Best Album of 2000 is Now Open!
Hey folks!
Like it says in the headers, seed voting for the upcoming Best Album of 2000 is now open:
The Best Album of 2000 Seeding Ballot
Hello! Welcome to the "Best Album of 2000" Seeding Ballot! The results of this ballot will directly determine the seeds in the tournament -- the album with the most votes will be seed #1, the next most seed #2, etc. Yes, this means YOUR VOTES will decide who gets the sweet spot and who is at the bottom of the barrel. There are usually quite a few ties in this survey, so I will break all ties, except in the case of a tie for #1 -- that will be determined by a Google Forms poll. A few things to ...
Technically, it’s been open for several days now, but due to [gestures] life, I’m only getting around to announcing it here on the newsletter. (If you’re following me on Bluesky, you should already know about the voting.) Voting closes late July 5th, but if you need a few extra days because of my tardiness, let me know. We can, and I cannot stress this enough, work it out.
If you haven’t listened to all of the albums, that’s okay, do what you can. I would ask that you prioritize the contest winner choices, though, as they tend to get the shaft in seed voting. Those are:
!!!, !!!
The Apples in Stereo, THE DISCOVERY OF A WORLD INSIDE THE MOONE
Compulsive Gamblers, CRYSTAL GAZING LUCK AMAZING
The Fall, THE UNUTTERABLE
Hannah Marcus, BLACK HOLE HEAVEN
NSYNC, NO STRINGS ATTACHED
Michael Penn, MP4 (DAYS SINCE A LOST TIME ACCIDENT)
We’re currently at 39 submitted ballots, which is great, but I’d love to cross 100 before time’s up. So be sure fill out a ballot in the next week or so!
Thanks!
