#35 The Final Match! Choose who moves on to the Best Album of 2000 Tournament!
Hey folks!
Today is the day. Today we select one album to be entered into the upcoming Best Album of 2000 tournament. Will it be The Apples in Stereo’s THE DISCOVERY OF A WORLD INSIDE THE MOONE? Or will it be Modest Mouse’s BUILDING NOTHNG OUT OF SOMETHING? I want to take a moment and thank everyone who has been voting and/or reading these newsletters. I know this process has been different (at least it has if you’ve been here since the Twitter days), and maybe at times a little clunky, but I think a short tournament like this was necessary before tackling a much larger one.
So, towards that, this week, ideally as soon as tomorrow, I will launch a Google Forms so I can take anonymous (no Google sign-in) feedback. What did you think of the tournament? What worked? What didn’t? I’ve never made a survey like this before, so I’m not 100% sure what I should be asking, but I’ll do my best.
As I mentioned last time, I would like everyone to take the time between Tuesday and Friday to listen to the albums already selected in the tournament, but especially the ones chosen by contest winners. Tomorrow I’ll include that list, plus links. On Friday, I will roll out a complete list of the 128 albums in the Best Album of 2000 tournament, with a followup newsletter that evening.
